Trust support free health workshop this weekend

The Hull Kingston Rovers Community Trust have joined forces with Hull York Medical School and the University of Hull to offer a free health and illness event at the Lightstream Stadium on Saturday, from 10am to 4pm.

  • Why does living in Hull influence how long you live?
  • How can I become a nurse or a doctor?
  • How can playing the ukulele be good for your health?
  • What are the early signs of cancer?

Discover the answers and much more at this free interactive festival which explores health, illness and wellbeing. The event will showcase research from the Hull York Medical School and the University of Hull.

There will also be local and regional community groups and charities and all are welcome to attend.

Have a go at playing the ukulele and hear how music benefits your health during a free workshop from 11am until midday, play health snakes and ladders and learn how to make up a healthy meal.

Those attending can also find out more about sport opportunities for girls and women in Hull through the Fabulass programme.

There is no need to book, simply turn up and get involved.
