Heritage events calendar confirmed for 2017

The Hull Kingston Rovers Heritage Committee has confirmed its calendar of events for 2017.

Formed to celebrate the club’s proud history and culture, the committee hosts a series of popular get-togethers at the Lightstream Stadium on the last Wednesday of every month, with everybody welcome to attend free of charge.

This year’s calendar of events begins on Wednesday, 25th January when fans will be asked to bring in any treasured memorabilia connected to the life and career of Rovers legend Peter ‘Flash’ Flanagan as part of a Show and Tell Evening.

The event will start at 7pm on the night and takes place in the Legends Lounge in the Colin Hutton Stand at the Lightstream Stadium

Wednesday, 25th January – Show and Tell Evening, ‘The Life and Career of Peter ‘Flash’ Flanagan
Wednesday, 22nd February – Historians Dave Sherwood and Roger Pugh take a look at the club’s history from 1986 to 1996.
Wednesday, 29th March – The British Lions tour of 1946, presented by Simon Foster
Wednesday, 26th April – Show and Tell Evening. Bring in your memorabilia!
Wednesday, 31st May – An Evening with Keith Pollard, Max Gold and Bryan Leason.
Wednesday, 28th June – An Evening with Ged Dunn and Phil Lowe
Wednesday, 26th July – Not just wives and mothers! Stories from the hidden history of women in rugby league, presented by Vic Dawson.
Wednesday, 27th September – TBC
Wednesday, 25th October – Historians Dave Sherwood and Roger Pugh take a look at the club’s history from 1997 to 2006.
Wednesday, 29th November – End of 2017 Quiz!
