St Stephen’s on board as new Family Zone sponsor
St Stephen’s Shopping Centre has increased its support of Hull Kingston Rovers for the 2017 campaign after becoming the new sponsor of the club’s increasingly popular Family Zone.
Located in the Colin Hutton Stand, the Family Zone first opened at the start of the 2014 season and has developed into a key part of the matchday experience at KCOM Craven Park, with the likes of free face painting, giant games and Xbox consoles all available to young fans.
Membership sales in the Family Zone are now at their highest point since the stand was built, up 26 per cent on last season, with supporters in the Family Zone treated to live music in the stadium concourse each week, plus appearances from members of the first team squad and the club’s mascot, Rufus.
Having signed their first sponsorship deal with the Robins last season to support the club’s matchday volunteers, St Stephen’s Shopping Centre has now continued its investment in the local community by becoming the new high-profile sponsor for the Family Zone for at least the next two seasons.
Hull Kingston Rovers CEO Mike Smith said: “We were hugely excited when St Stephen’s first came on board with us last season and saw it the start of an on-going relationship with a prominent organisation within the city.
“Their record when it comes to community engagement speaks for itself and we are delighted to welcome them as the new sponsor of our Family Zone for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. It has become more and more popular each year since it was first introduced and I couldn’t think of a more fitting partner to help us continue that success than St Stephen’s.
“Memberships in the Family Zone are at an all-time high and we are finding that some supporters are moving there from other areas of the ground because they want to be part of what’s going on. We’ve made a really big effort to create something special for our young fans in particular because they are the future of the club and we want to keep encouraging them to come back.
“It’s an on-going process, we’re always looking for ways to improve the area and we’re looking forward to counting on the support and expertise of St Stephen’s in helping us with that.”

As St Stephen’s evolves its retail and leisure proposition we also see this as a great opportunity to promote our exciting new retail and leisure outlets aimed at families such as NYC Bar & Grill , Gravity, Funstation and Rock-up to a captive east Hull audience.

A limited number of memberships are still available in the Family Zone for 2017 and are priced at £19.99 a month for one adult and one under-18 or £39.99 a month for two adults and two under-18s when purchased using the new Rovers Forever scheme.
