Robins launch business support scheme
Hull Kingston Rovers have announced the launch of an innovative scheme that will look to support local start-up businesses.
The Hull Kingston Rovers Business Mentoring Scheme will foster entrepreneurial spirit in the area by offering one new business a year the chance to receive expert advice and one-to-one mentoring in areas such as PR, marketing and business development along with:
Free advertising on www.hullkr.co.uk
A free advertising board at Craven Park
Free advertising in a match day programme
The chance to promote their business at Hull Kingston Rovers business networking events
A motivational session with Head Coach, Craig Sandercock
Andrew Mowbray, commercial & marketing director at Hull Kingston Rovers, said: “As a club we are committed to supporting the local economy and the launch of our Business Mentoring Scheme is a perfect example of that. As far as we are aware this is a Rugby League first and possibly a first in professional sport full stop.
“The value of the package we are giving away is close to £10,000 so we really are putting our money where our mouth is. The whole ethos around the club at the moment is about ‘building for the future’, both on the field and off the field. If we can help a local business set solid foundations for the future too then that would be great.”
The Hull Kingston Rovers Business Mentoring Scheme will see one business chosen to receive the package of support outlined above throughout 2012. To be in with a chance of winning, entrants should send no more than 250 words outlining why they should be chosen to email@example.com
To be eligible entrants must be a business that has been registered in the last 12 months.
Closing date for entries is Wednesday 29th February.
