Mikey Lewis Recalled From York City Knights
The club can confirm that Mikey Lewis has been recalled from his loan deal with York City Knights.
Following a successful month-long spell with the Knights, Lewis returns to bolster the side with a busy upcoming schedule for the Robins.
The Hull-born playmaker returns to Hull College Craven Park with full match fitness and a number of highlight moments under his belt.
Head Coach Tony Smith said: “We want to get our players out playing because there is a real need for that. Mikey has been closely monitored. I’ve watched his games and I think he definitely had his strongest game in his last one, which was in a more familiar position. If anything, I think he proved he’s a half-back and not a full-back through that month. It was a worthwhile experiment in that respect.
“He needed that. He’s one of those young guys that needs to play. We have a number of them, and I feel for them. It improves their spirit, awareness, fitness, and desire. I’m hurting for a few other boys that haven’t been able to get out there on loan and develop.
“Mikey has had the chance to go out there and experiment, develop, compete and have fun. It’s all part of it and they are missing out on it.”Back To Latest News +
