Promising half-back Mikey Lewis joins Newcastle Thunder on a month’s loan
Hull Kingston Rovers can confirm that promising half-back Mikey Lewis has joined Betfred League One outfit Newcastle Thunder on a month’s loan.
The 17-year-old, who has recently featured for Yorkshire Academy and earned his first full-time professional contract following his City of Hull Academy graduation, will spend a number of weeks in the North East.
Lewis, tied down at KCOM Craven Park until the end of 2021 and regularly in training with the first-team, is highly-rated at the Robins and the club see this move as a great opportunity for first-team rugby in a competitive division for the pivot.
