Litten Ready For Toughest Test Yet
Rovers’ hooker, Jez Litten is ready to keep the good times rolling this Saturday afternoon, as the Robins look for a third successive victory in the Betfred Super League.
Although it will be no easy feat as the Red and Whites face an in-form Warrington Wolves, a side Litten feels will be ‘our biggest test of the season so far’.
“We’ve been playing some good rugby since the start of the season and for us to get some of those wins now will really help us kick on. We’ve got the monkey off our back and hopefully, we can keep moving up the ladder,” said Litten.
“We spoke about not going back to back for a fair few years, so it was a good driving force for us going into the last game. We needed and wanted to change it for the sake of the club.
“This weekend is going to be massive, they are obviously a really strong outfit that has got strike all over the park. It is going to be our biggest test so far this year.”
Coming off the back of an impressive all-around victory over Leeds Rhinos, Litten wants his team to keep the good times rolling as he faces a hooker he moulded his game around when growing up…
“He (Daryl Clark) is a player that I watched a lot growing up and I still watch him now. He is definitely a dangerous player for them, and a lot of their stuff comes off the back of what he does.
“I love his running game and the way that he doesn’t hold back. He’s a very full-on player that backs himself, it’s something that I really admire in him.
“I think Matt (Parcell) has really hit some form and he’s having some good games. It’s great for us both to be playing well and on the pitch at the same time. We like to play fast and do our best for the team.
“I’ve got to be on my game all the time. It’s great in training that we both have to be on top of our game, and it’s only going to help make the team better.”Back To Latest News +
