Locally born Bob Harris, playing on the left wing for Rovers in a league game against Leeds, scored five tries for the Robins in a 34-11 thrashing of Leeds. It capped a wonderful season for Harris, in which he scored 33 tries, just one short of fellow winger Graham Paul, in 43 games.
