HKR Super League heroes No 2 – James Webster The signing of half-back James Webster from Parramatta Eels in December 2004 was a statement of Rovers’ ambition to become a Super League side. James Webster was born in Sydney in July 1979, and started his professional rugby league career with Balmain Tigers. In search of a regular first team place, he moved on to Parramatta Eels, for whom he made 22 appearances between 2002 and 2004.
