Fans forum supports Oz project
The unofficial Hull KR Fans Forum has backed the club’s Australian Youth Development Project, a scheme which will see the Academy side visit Australia early this year with the aim of personal development both on and off the field.
Keen to show support to the next generation of Rovers stars, the forum, which has over 1000 registered members, has donated £250 to the project.
PAC, from the Fans Forum, said: “This tour to Australia is a great idea and something which makes Hull KR a very attractive proposition for younger players. I’d just like to thank all the members of the forum for their support in fundraising over the years.
“We have sponsored players for the last six years, raising over £10,000 in the process and 2012 will be no different as we are sponsoring Mickey Paea.”
The Academy tour will see Rovers’ young stars pit their wits against top Australian junior teams whilst also taking part in an intensive training camp that will push their skills and work rate to the limit. As well as on the field action, the youngsters will also be getting involved in community activities as part of their personal development.
The tour is funded purely by sponsorship and donations so if you would like to support it please visit our Just Giving page at http://www.justgiving.com/hullkr-academy-tour or if you have any fundraising ideas please contact Angie Rollinson on 01482 780908
Registering to the Hull KR Fans Forum is free and open to any fans who want to discuss what is going on at their club. Every week during the season members can even win cash prizes by taking part in a weekly online quiz. To register please visit http://www.hullkrfans.co.uk/index.php
