Creative writing sessions available to book now
The Hull Kingston Rovers Community Trust Heritage Project is launching a new and exciting series of creative writing sessions.
Author Brian W. Lavery is to be writer-in-residence and community tutor for the new heritage writing project. Based at KCOM Craven Park, Brian will be encouraging local people to take part in free writing classes, as well as curating, editing and publishing heritage-based stories from the community surrounding the club.
Would-be writers will see their work published on a website as well as in print in new twice-yearly publication, The Red Read Robin.
The Community Trust Heritage Writing Project is part of the Heritage of Hull KR project which was recently awarded a National Lottery grant of £186,200.
Two sets of 12-week writing workshops will be available free to anyone over 16 years of age and will start on the 29th September. Located in the East Stand Community Centre, the classes will take place from 10am until 12 noon each week.
Places will be given on a first-come, first-served basis and must be booked prior to the start date. To confirm your interest and book a place, please contact Emily.Parkin@hullkr.co.uk or call 01482 780908.Back To Latest News +
