Teaming Up For Health
Hull Kingston Rovers Community Trust and Hull FC Foundation are working together with Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to show the positive impact the clubs and Rugby League can have on health and wellbeing on fans and members of the public. For the following year, we will be linking to a range of organisations and individuals to
- Encourage fans of the clubs to engage with, and identified services, projects and programmes available to them.
- Raise awareness of health days, weeks and months for example National Walking Month in May.
- Increase involvement in club activities such as Learn with the Robins and heritage events.
- Collect information so we can demonstrate and showcase impacts on key health areas.
On your feet Britain
Hull Kingston Rovers have signed up to On Your Feet Britain, which takes place on Friday 27th April, to encourage all to #SitLess and #MoveMore on this day. It is free to sign up; so we encourage our fans to do the same.
On Your Feet Britain are running a photograph competition for the best ‘get up offa that thing’ photo winning one of 20 Yo-YoDesk Prizes. To enter simply post your photos on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram or Twitter using #OYF18 or #OnYourFeetBritain with @getGBstanding before April 30th 2018. It would be great if you could also include @hullkrofficial and #hullthy.
The winners will be selected from the most imaginative, funny and original captions posted. Think different to stand out for our judging panel to see you capture the spirit and objectives of On Your Feet Day.
National Walking Month
The Teaming up for health partnership are inviting you to celebrate National Walking Month by encouraging you to complete and record the number of walks at least 20 minutes in length you complete in May.
Please use the recording sheet, and return to the club at the end of May. There is a competition taking place during the competition of which team (Hull KR, Hull FC and Hull 2020 Health Champions) can complete and log the most walks throughout May. The winning team will be announced early June.
Please feel free to use social media to share your walks, raise awareness of the campaign, and get even more people involved.
