Hull KR celebrate junior success at COHA District Rugby League Awards
Hull Kingston Rovers were delighted to lend their support at The City of Hull and District Rugby League Inaugural Awards Evening.
Held on Monday 4 November 2019 at the Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel in Willerby, Hull, the ceremony’s purpose was to celebrate the success of the future stars.
In total there were 380 guests present including the players and staff from the six teams that won either the Shield or Championship at Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 levels.
Other guests included Sponsors of the City of Hull and District Rugby League as well as key personnel from the two professional Clubs in the City – Hull Kingston Rovers and Hull FC.
New Rovers signing Jordan Abdull and young hooker Jez Litten joined FC’s Scott Taylor and Brad Fash, who we’re aided at the Awards ceremony by Tony Smith and Lee Radford who shared their thoughts with the guests.
Hull Kingston Rovers Head of Youth, John Bastian commented: “The overall year has been another progression for the community, for the junior players’ development and also for the coaches.
“I think that Monday evening was a culmination of sharing a terrific evening which utimately celebrated the community game and all that has been done by all the volunteers and staff involved in the City of Hull Rugby League.
“It certainly is benefiting everybody that is involved in the game at community level and I’m sure that it will support our professional game in years to come.”

Tier 2 Shield Winners – Cottingham Tigers Under 12
Tier 2 Championship Winners – Hull Wyke U12
Tier 3 Shield Winners – East Hull Under 13
Tier 3 Championship Winners – Hull Wyke Under 13
Tier 4 Shield Winners – Lambwath Lions Under 15
Tier 4 Championship Winners – Skirlaugh Under 14
