City of Hull Academy endure tough night at St Helens, but scholarship push Castleford Tigers close

St. Helens (30) 78-6 (6) City of Hull Academy – Academy Under 19’s Championship
A young City of Hull Academy Under 19’s side went down 78-6 to St Helens on Friday evening at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
Forward George Cooke scored the only try for the visitors after 12 minutes to which Mikey Lewis converted, however the hosts registered five tries in the first half and a further nine tries after the break.
The City of Hull Academy Under 19’s are back in action on Saturday 27 April against Bradford Bulls at Bishop Burton College, Kick Off 12.00pm.

City of Hull Academy (16) 28-40 (16) Castleford Tigers – Scholarship

A superb game of rugby league at Scholarship level took place at Bishop Burton College on Wednesday evening with visitors Castleford Tigers edging to a 40-28 win – after the sides were locked up at 16-16 following a tight opening 40 minutes.
Winger Harvey Barron and second rower Bailey Dawson (2) scored the first half tries for the City of Hull Academy. Jacob Hookem landed a couple of conversions.
Centre Leon Stewart and scrum half Jacob Hookem crossed in the second half for the hosts, with Hookem converting both scores.
The Scholarship Side are next back in action on Wednesday 26 June away at Bradford Bulls.
