Football/Player Welfare Manager

As the club’s full-time Player Welfare Manager, Sue undertakes one of the most diverse roles in the rugby department.

Sue’s job is to provide support to the first team squad on a range of topics including promotion of good mental health, personal development, career advice, counselling, addiction, education and training opportunities, as well as providing general support to help with each player’s individual needs, whether that be family matters, financial worries or other concerns.

Available to the players 24/7, Sue also has an excellent relationship with the squad’s wives and girlfriends to ensure their families are welcomed into the club and also provides support to other performance and office staff at the club, focusing on mental health and general well-being in particular.
