Vete And Takairangi’s Visa Approved
Hull Kingston Rovers are pleased to announce visas for Brad Takairangi and Albert Vete have been accepted and the duo will link up with the club early next month.
Vete kicked off the busy postseason recruitment drive after signing a two-year deal with the Robins back in November. Whilst Takairangi was the sixth and final incoming player, also penning a two-year contract.
Both players have a wealth of NRL experience, playing for some of the most successful clubs in the Australian league, such as Melbourne Storm and Paramatta Eels.
Head Coach Tony Smith commented: “Over Christmas, there were some department shutdowns in Australia, so it was a bit hard to get visas organised for the five of them (Takairangi’s family). So that’s probably taken a little longer than usual.
“Albert’s complication was the recent birth of his baby boy not long before Christmas, so once again we had to wait for a passport to be assigned to the baby before they could apply for their visas. That’s been the hold up there.”Back To Latest News +
