Useful information from Rochdale for visiting fans
Rochdale Hornets are looking forward to welcoming all supporters to The Crown Oil Arena this Sunday. In order to make your trip as enjoyable as possible, we have summarized some key points below.
Ample car parking is available at the stadium (£4 per car) and is first come, first served for non pass holders. Blue badge holders can park for free. Coaches are advised to park on Ings Lane, which is signposted as you approach The Crown Oil Arena. The parking for coaches/minibuses on Ings lane is free.
Entry is via the turnstiles located nearest the car park and admission costs £15 adults, £12 concessions (over 65, NUS, armed forces personnel) and £5 under 16s. Please note that Rochdale Hornets do not operate the match day junior ticket swaps offer. For this Sundays game, both the main stand (seated) and the Sandy lane end (standing) behind the posts will be open for spectators. There is no reserved seating and no additional costs for the seating in the main stand.
We understand that Hull KR have sold their allocation of tickets, but please don’t worry as we will be operating pay on the turnstile on the day. Please get to the stadium in plenty of time to ensure you get your preferred seat.
On arrival at the stadium, the Radcliffe Bar will be open to all home and away supporters from 12 untll 3pm, but please note that drinks cannot be purchased here and taken into the ground. The main lounge inside Spotland Stadium is also open to home and away fans at no additional cost. You can access the lounge by going through the turnstiles and using the door situated at the back of the stand.
Away supporters who wish to eat or drink before coming to the stadium are recommended to try The Baum or The Flying Horse- both pubs offer a wide choice of real ales and quality food, and are located in the town centre- a short distance from the ground. One of our club sponsors, the Quirky Catering Co, will offer hot meals in the main lounge via a counter service, and several stadium kiosks around the ground will be open offering hot food and refreshments.
The clubs monthly magazine/programme will be available at all entry points and in the club shop along with the half time 50/50 golden gamble raffle tickets.
The smoking and vaping area is located near the turnstiles on the inside of the stadium. Please note there is no re-entry to the stadium once you have left.
Everyone at Rochdale Hornets wishes you a safe trip and if you have any queries and can’t find the answer on our website, please contact us on twitter @RochdaleHornets or via email@example.com
