Thunder roll into town
Northern Rail Cup action is heading for east Hull this Sunday when Craven Park hosts the group stage fixture between Gateshead Thunder and the North Wales Crusaders (KO 3pm).
With the pitch at the Gateshead Stadium currently being renovated, the Thunder took the decision to move the game here as part of the ongoing partnership between themselves and the Robins.
Several of the red and whites’ younger first-team squad members are on dual registration with the Thunder and the trio of Chris Heil, Aaron Ollett and Rich Beaumont all turned out for them against Rochdale last weekend.
One or two of them could also be on duty against the North Wales Crusaders this Sunday alongside the likes of Luke Hardcastle, Nick Johnson, Rowan Colquhoun, Jacob Blades, Curtis Pullen and Benn Hardcastle, all of whom are ex-Robins.
Admission to the game is just £10 adults and £5 concessions so if you’re at a loose end on Sunday then why not get yourself along to Craven Park and catch some rugby league action?
