City of Hull Academy 2018 fixtures released
The fixtures for the City of Hull Academy and Scholarship sides have been released for the 2018 season.
For the under-16’s, the campaign runs from February to April, with a total of seven games played throughout, whilst for the under-19’s there has been a structure reshuffle for next year. The 12 clubs will play each team home and away, with an added friendly at home against the Catalans Dragons also to take place.
The under-16’s start with a tough away fixture against Wigan Warriors on the 18th February at Edge Hall Road, followed by a home clash with Wakefield Trinity on the 24th, whilst the under-19s get underway at Warrington Wolves on the 17th February before hosting last year’s champions Wigan Warriors the following week. This game will be a double-header alongside the scholarship’s clash with Wakefield Trinity.
March is the busiest month for the 16s with games against Castleford, Huddersfield and Warrington, with the older academy side facing the Tigers, Bradford, Catalans and the Wolves.
April brings two final games for the Scholarship, with Leeds Rhinos the visitors in the City of Hull’s penultimate game on the 11th, prior to a trip away to Bradford Bulls to conclude the season.
There are two games for the City of Hull under-19’s in April. First up is a trip across the Pennines to St. Helens as a curtain-raiser for Hull FC’s clash with the St. Helens’ first team, before welcoming London Broncos from the capital on the 21st.
The under-19s welcome Huddersfield Giants and Widnes Vikings to Bishop Burton College at the beginning of May. A trip to Edge Hall Road concludes the month for the City of Hull as they face Wigan Warriors on the 26th.
June is the busiest month for the 19’s, with five fixtures against Leeds, Newcastle Thunder, St Helens, Huddersfield and Widnes, whilst July brings a trip to the Mend-A-Hose Jungle to face Castleford, before a return home clash with the Rhinos mid-way through the month. To draw the month to a close, Wakefield will host the City of Hull at the Beaumont Legal Stadium.
August brings another two fixtures, with Newcastle the guests on the 11th, before a trip to the capital to face London Broncos at Ealing Trailfinders on the 19th. The final month of fixtures come in September, and the City of Hull will cap the season off with two home games. Bradford Bulls will be visitors on the 8th, before welcoming Warrington Wolves on the final day of the campaign.
Hull FC and Hull Kingston Rovers season pass holders can gain FREE entry to City of Hull under-16’s and under-19’s home matches by displaying their 2018 passes or membership cards upon arrival at the ground.
