Jamie Ellis

First Team

Playmaker Ellis joins the Robins on a season long loan deal from Huddersfield for the 2017 campaign and will have an important role to play under Tim Sheens.

A good organiser with an excellent kicking game, Ellis excelled during his one season in the Championship with Leigh Centurions at the start of his career, going on to pick up the competition’s Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year award.

He’s since played for a number of Super League clubs and was an important part of the Giants side which won the League Leaders’ Shield in 2014, but his challenge now is to take on a lead role at Rovers. Although he’s got the necessary creative skills to set up opportunities for his teammates, watch out for Ellis’ ability to take on the line and cross for tries himself.
