The Robins have now won four games in a row and Craig Sandercock believes the latest victory at Huddersfield was built on a solid defensive foundation.

"I think we built our platform on our defence," he said after the 44-26 win at the Galpharm Stadium. "I thought we defended our own line with really good commitment, really good attitude, really good desire and really good team spirit.

"I think that's what got us home in the end because, don't get me wrong, they (Huddersfield) put some real heat on us but we withstood it and came through the other end. I also thought we scored some classy tries which is a credit to the boys for the hard work they've been putting in. We're slowly starting to get the rewards that they deserve."

Scrum-half, Michael Dobson, was named as the Sky Sports Man of the Match on the back of another impressive display and the Rovers' coach was full of praise for the influential number seven.

"Michael Dobson was outstanding," he continued. "To me, he should be playing in the NRL as he's that good a player and I'm just lucky to have him here. I think he's the form half-back in the competition and during the last month he's taken his game to another level. He's playing above himself and to me, is in career best form."

The Robins are now hot on the heels of the top six and will be looking to break into that group over the next couple of games when they face the Catalan Dragons and a rejuvenated St. Helens.

"It gets a lot easier doesn't it?" Sandercock added with a smile. "We'll turn up and do our best, like we did here (at Huddersfield). Obviously those two teams will be favourites to beat us as they're ahead of us on the ladder. So we'll just train hard, work hard, turn up on the night and hopefully be competitive."
