Mixed fortunes for academy and scholarship teams

It was mixed day for the Robins' Scholarship and Academy sides last Saturday as they took on local rivals Hull FC in a triple-header.

The U15s lost out 18-10 with Julian Gladwin and Will Jubb crossing for Rovers and Lewis Straw adding one goal, whilst the U16s were edged out 18-16. Aiden Armstrong, Jordan Abdul and Macauley Duke got the Rovers' tries with Abdul converting two of them.

Meanwhile, the U18s recorded a comprehensive 38-22 victory to end the day on a high for the Robins. Richard Clayphan and Danny Kelso grabbed two tries apiece with Matthew Marsh, Jordan Milner and Scott Ellerington also getting themselves over the whitewash. Matty Beharrell kicked five goals to make it a great victory for the red and whites.

The U20s were also in action as they played at Leeds Rhinos on Sunday morning where they went down to a 32-0 defeat. Their next game is this coming Saturday when they travel to take on Wigan at the Co-operative Stadium (KO 2pm).

The U18s also play this coming weekend as they entertain Wigan at Craven Park on Sunday (KO 2:30pm).
