Local sponsors get new-look Rovers vans on the road

Hull Kingston Rovers have teamed up with RSV Van Hire and Sapphire Signs to get the team’s brand new kit vans on the road.

RSV, who recently committed to a shirt sponsorship deal with the club for the first time, have once again upped their support to the Robins by supplying a new van for kit man Alan “Bonesy” Fellows to use in 2018.

Sapphire Signs, who are currently entering their fourth consecutive year in sponsorship, have designed and wrapped the van with our iconic Paint the Town Red campaign, which is proving to be popular amongst fans. The van will continue to promote the campaign across the country at all away games, showing that Rovers Are Back!

As well as celebrating the club’s return to the Betfred Super League, there will also be updates on the back of the van showing details of upcoming fixtures so keep a look out on the roads to find out where we will be playing next.

Eagle-eyed supporters will also notice the registration plate “R700 HKR”, which is a subtle nod to Tim Sheens’ 700th club game as head coach at club level, which came in the home fixture against Widnes Vikings earlier this year that secured promotion on a memorable day for the Robins.

Meanwhile, RSV has also supplied a second, smaller van for general club use with Sapphire Signs wrapping this in a unique Rufus design featuring a distinctive set of wings and an eye-catching front bonnet!

Craig Franklin, Head of Marketing, said: “We would like to take this chance to thank RSV Van Hire Ltd and Sapphire Signs Ltd for their on-going support and commitment. Both vans look fantastic and will certainly catch the eye of supporters over the coming months as well as serving as a useful marketing tool for the club by promoting our home fixtures at KCOM Craven Park.

“The Rufus van in particular comes as part of a wider strategy to make our loveable mascot a more visible and prominent member of the Hull Kingston Rovers family and celebrate his role in attracting the future generation of young supporters to the club. I’m sure our Junior Robins and those supporters who remain young at heart will enjoy seeing this unique van in and around the city in 2018.”
