First team stars give presents to children in hospital
Hull Kingston Rovers players visited the children’s wards at Hull Royal Infirmary this afternoon to spread a little festive cheer ahead of Christmas.
First team stars Mose Masoe, Maurice Blair, Joe Cator, Kieren Moss, Ryan Shaw and Chris Atkin all headed to Hull Royal Infirmary to visit sick and injured children in the run up to Christmas.
As well as stopping to have a chat and say hello, or play a game of Super Mario Kart in Cator’s case, the players handed out a range of presents, chocolates and free tickets, with the squad paying for the gifts themselves.
“This is my third time coming to do the hospital visits and it’s something I always get a lot out of,” said Blair.
“It’s always good to come here at Christmas time and put the smiles on the kids’ faces.
“We met a young boy who looked like he’d seen a ghost at the start, he was that shocked! But his parents were die-hard fans and his dad is going to bring him up to a game. This is something he’ll cherish for years to come.”
