Crowdfunder launched for Flash statue

Hull Kingston Rovers have launched a new crowdfunder to help raise money for the remaining balance needed to complete a statue of iconic hooker Peter “Flash” Flanagan.

On a day when a special plaque commemmorating Flash's life was unveiled at KCOM Craven Park last week, the club and the ex-Rovers legend's family came together to update supporters on plans to raise the funds still required.

With £10,000 already raised, a further £20,000 is still needed to make the statue a reality, with everything now in place to complete the statue at the stadium as soon as funds are secured.

The club has launched a new heritage shirt inspired by the 1964 Wembley side, with proceeds from each shirt going to the Flash fund, whilst supporters can also make a pledge here and recieve the following incentives...

• £500 or above: a North Stand Box for a home match except for Hull KR v. Hull FC, an access all areas stadium tour, a signed shirt, signed poster and a mention in the match day programme
• £200 - £499: 2 tickets for a match of your choice except for Hull KR v. Hull FC, an access all areas stadium tour, a signed poster and a mention in the match day programme
• £100 - £199: stadium tour, signed poster and mention in the match day programme
• Below £100: a mention in the match day programme

The signed poster issued will be a special commeroartive 'kit history' poster depicting over 135 years of Hull KR kits signed by our new club President who will be announced soon.

The new 1964 retro jersey is on sale now at the Rovers Retail Store priced at £54.99.
