CONTENDERS FACED WITH DUAL HULL CHALLENGE
Thursday 26th February 2009
Hull FC are priced at 7/1 to win either the Challenge Cup, League Leader's Shield or the Grand Final, while Hull KR are quoted at 10/1 to pick up any of those top prizes.
"On the evidence of the first three weeks, both Hull sides look capable of competing for honours this season and it would come as no surprise if the great rivals were to meet in a big knockout match later in the year" said Hill's spokesman Tim Pakyurek.
Hills make Hull FC 6/1 to knock Hull KR out of either the Challenge Cup or the Super League play-offs, with Hull KR priced at 8/1 to defeat Hull FC in any elimination match.
Hull FC are 4/6 to be the next Hull club to appear in a major final, with Hull KR quoted at 5/4 .
Which team will finish highest after the regular season? 8/11 Hull FC v 11/10 Hull KR
To win the Super League Grand Final: 14/1 Hull FC; 20/1 Hull KR
To win the Challenge Cup: 12/1 Hull FC; 16/1 Hull KR
Hull FC are 8/15 to win the first Super League Hull derby of the season on Good Friday, with Hull KR 6/4 and the draw quoted at 18/1.
The black and whites are 9/4 to record a league double over their East Hull rivals, with the Robins 3/1 to win both encounters.
It's 10/11 that the sides win one league derby apiece.
Hull KR's Michael Dobson is the shortest priced Hull based player to win the coveted Man of Steel award. Dobson is quoted at 25/1, just in front of Hull FC points machine Danny Tickle, who is 33/1.
With three tries already on the board, Rovers' Peter Fox is 14/1 to be Super League's top regular season tryscorer. The Airlie Birds' leading contender is Mark Calderwood, currently available at 40/1.
Justin Morgan is quoted at 9/1 to win the coach of the year award, with Richard Agar a 12/1 chance.
"Morgan is a slightly shorter price than Agar because a sustained challenge by Hull KR would probably be seen as a more significant achievement given the club's relatively short Super League history" explained Pakyurek.
* With Hull City one step away from a second Wembley appearance in twelve months, William Hill are betting on which of Hull's three top flight sides will next appear at the National Stadium.
Next Hull side to play at Wembley: 6/4 Hull City, 7/4 Hull FC, 2/1 Hull KR.
