NHS HULL APPROVE EAST STAND INVESTMENT

Story in brief:
Hull Kingston Rovers are delighted to confirm that NHS Hull will invest £300,000 towards health and lifestyle facilities at Craven Park...

The new facility will be part of a larger project to expand the East Stand and will include services such as smoking cessation and weight management support.

Rovers Chairman Neil Hudgell was thrilled with the decision to approve the investment this afternoon.

"This is fantastic news for people in East Hull," said Neil. "The supporters give a lot to the club by turning in week in, week out at Craven Park and this is another way in which we will be able to put back into the community."

"I'd like to thank NHS Hull for their continued support and we're excited to work with them on this project alongside already existing projects that are carried out with the Hull KR Education and Sports Trust," added Neil.

James Elston, Operations Manager at Rovers reinforced the benefits that the development will bring to the community.

"The new facility will give brilliant opportunities to people both young and old in East Hull in terms of health awareness and leading an active lifestyle."

"It will build on the work that is already being done through schemes such as the rugby league coaching sessions,  ‘Fit Fans' and martial arts classes for men, women and children."

"There are many more initiatives lined up and we're delighted that this new facility will enable us to enhance people's experience of these," James concluded.
