SOUTH BANK YOUNGSTERS GET RUGBY LEAGUE MASTER CLASS
Tuesday 17th November 2009
Members of the Hull KR first team squad travelled across the Humber Bridge to help deliver a coaching session in conjunction with the Grimsby Institute.
Around 90 local schoolchildren took the opportunity to have a rugby master class with the Rovers Head Coach, his coaching staff and some of the first team players at Grimsby Rugby Club where the young people were given tips on how to improve their skills.
Last Friday's session builds on a partnership with Grimsby Institute that already includes a rugby league academy, giving youngsters the opportunity to pursue a career in rugby league whilst also studying for a qualification at a Further or Higher Education Level.

Head Coach Morgan said of the session: "It was great to give the youngsters a taste of what the professionals do on a daily basis."
"Everyone enjoyed themselves and that's the most important thing. They will all have learnt something which will help improve them as players and hopefully the session will encourage them to keep playing rugby league," added Justin.
