FOX TRY IN VAIN FOR BRAVE ENGLAND

Story in brief:
Peter Fox scored for England but it wasn’t enough to prevent Australia claiming the Gillette Four Nations crown in the final at Elland Road on Saturday...

Fox went over in the first half, leaping majestically to claim a Kyle Eastmond kick to touch down.

Fox and Hull KR team mate Shaun Briscoe were part of a brave England performance that had them within striking distance of  the Aussies for most of the match, but the Australians experience and class told after the hour mark as they raced to a 46-16 success over a tiring England side.

It turned out to be Tony Smith’s last game in charge of England as he revealed that he has resigned after the game.
