SUPER FANS DO HULL KR PROUD AT MURRAYFIELD MAGIC

The weekend saw The Robins beat the Warrington Wolves in the final game of the weekend which was to the delight of the strong contingent of Rovers fans who made the trip to the Scottish Capital.
In what was a fantastic all round effort by the club, saw not only the players of Hull KR represent the club well, but the fans and Rufus the Robin gained recognition for their efforts. On the Saturday of the weekend Hull Kingston Rovers fans took part in the RFL’s Murryfield Magic Tag Festival.
Each Super League club entered a team of fans into what turned out to be a fantastic competition with some legends of the game pulling their boots back on such as Paul Sculthorpe of St Helens and Kevin Ellis of Celtic Crusaders. The close competition was eventually won by the Castleford Tigers.
The Hull KR team produced on a sterling show throughout the tournament gaining recognition from The RFL’s League For All Officer, Tony Miller who said: “I would like to pass on my thanks to the team who represented Hull KR. They were a credit to the club and themselves”.
Team members for Hull KR were: Thomas Casey, Patrick Casey, Ellie-Rose Casey, Tom Marshall, Will Marshall, Sally Watler-Thomas, Mark Reynolds, Barry Thomas, Janet Symes and Simon Evans.
The team boasted both youth and experience in particular Tom Marshall 8 and Will Marshall 9, were voted the two players of the tournament and were kindly presented a signed ball by Paul Sculthorpe who was impressed by the effort on show.
With the fans contribution, Rufus the Robin’s triumph and an impressive victory over the Warrington Wolves, Hull Kingston Rovers had a weekend to be proud of.
