GUISSET TO LEAD THE DRAGONS THIS SUNDAY
Thursday 23rd April 2009
Bird sustained an abductor tear in the Dragons’ 38-6 victory over Salford Reds last Saturday which will sideline him for around a month.
The Dragons are already without the influential Adam Mogg (hamstring) and second row pair Jason Croker (broken cheekbone) and Sebastien Raguin (knee re-construction).
However, prop David Ferriol is expected to play against Rovers despite a thumb injury and second rower Jamal Fakir hopes to return from a five-match absence with a hand problem.
Coach Kevin Walters is hoping Bosc will return in time for the clash with champions Leeds Rhinos at Murrayfield on Sunday week, the start of a demanding six-week schedule in which his side play the Rhinos a second time and also meet St Helens twice in seven days.
Head Coach Justin Morgan will possibly be without utility player Stanley Gene after he sustained a bicep injury in the fixture against Harlequins last weekend but is hopeful for a another victory as the Robins continue to climb the engage Super League table.
